Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings and treatments at this massage practice. They are designed to keep you safe, informed, and aware of your responsibilities.​

1. Women-only service
This is a women-only massage practice operating from a private home. Appointments are available to women only.

2. Booking and Payment

Appointments are booked online via my website and must be paid in full to secure the booking. Payment confirms your appointment.

If payment is not completed, the booking will not be held.
-
Prices are correct at the time of booking and may change without notice; however, once a booking is confirmed and paid, no additional fees will be charged for that appointment.

All bookings are automated and handled through Wix.

3. Cancellation, Rescheduling & Late Arrivals

Cancellations made up to 24 hours before the appointment are eligible for a full refund.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment are non-refundable, but you may reschedule once, subject to availability.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 7 days of cancellation.

Late arrivals will have their treatment time reduced by the amount of time late. Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may be considered a no-show, and no refund will be issued.

Rescheduled appointments must be attended within a reasonable timeframe, agreed upon at the time of rescheduling.

4. Health and Suitability

Clients must complete a confidential health questionnaire prior to their first appointment.

It is the client’s responsibility to disclose:

Relevant medical conditions

Pregnancy
-
Recent injuries or surgeries
-
Changes in health status
-
Medications that may affect treatment
-

Clients must not attend if experiencing infectious illnesses, fever, or any condition that may make massage unsafe.

I reserve the right to refuse or modify treatment if massage is unsafe or inappropriate.

Massage therapy is complementary and does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment.
5. Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy massage is offered from the second trimester onwards. Clients must disclose pregnancy at booking.

High-risk pregnancies or medically complex conditions may require written approval from a healthcare professional.
6. Right to Refuse Service
I reserve the right to refuse or terminate a session if:

I believe treatment is unsafe

Incomplete or inaccurate medical information has been provided
-
Inappropriate behaviour occurs
-
Alcohol or drug use is detected
-
I feel unsafe
-
In these cases, full payment remains payable.
7. Professional Boundaries

Massage therapy is strictly professional and therapeutic.

Any inappropriate language or behaviour will result in immediate termination of the session. Full payment will still be required.
8. Consent to Treatment

By attending your appointment, you give consent for massage therapy to be performed and acknowledge that massage is complementary, therapeutic, and not a substitute for medical advice or treatment.
9. Home-Based Practice & Accessibility

The massage room is located upstairs and is not wheelchair accessible.

10. Liability

Massage therapy carries inherent risks. By booking and attending an appointment, clients confirm:

They have provided accurate and up-to-date health information

They understand the nature of the treatment

They accept responsibility for consulting a healthcare professional if needed

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, as required under UK law.

Except as required by law, liability for any other loss or damage arising from treatment is limited to the cost of the treatment paid by the client.
11. Data Protection (GDPR Compliance)

Personal and health information is collected as part of the booking process to provide safe and effective treatment.

Data is stored securely and used only for:

Assessing suitability for treatment

Legal, insurance, and safety requirements

Health records and personal data will be retained securely for a minimum of 7 years unless deletion is requested earlier, in line with GDPR.

12. Infectious Disease Disclaimer
By attending your appointment, you acknowledge the risks associated with communicable diseases, including COVID-19, and agree to follow current public health guidance.
13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms & Conditions should first be addressed directly with the therapist.

If unresolved, disputes may be escalated to the Small Claims Court in accordance with UK law.
14. Changes to Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated at any time. The most current version will always be available on the website.
